Craftsmanship That Honors the Past

Craftsmanship That Honors the Past

I’ve been working with wood for over 40 years, and my journey into the world of historic architecture began as a natural extension of my love for craftsmanship. Over the years, I developed a passion for recreating the intricate details of Victorian and Craftsman homes, with their beautifully crafted fretwork, gingerbread trim, and elegant furniture designs. It’s not just about making replicas; it’s about honoring the historical beauty and bringing those designs back to life in a new, modern context. This love for wood and historic style led me to focus on creating custom pieces that combine both artistry and functionality, whether it’s a piece of furniture or a decorative element for a home restoration.

As my skills grew, I pushed myself to experiment with new techniques and ideas, striving to develop fresh, custom designs that maintain the spirit of the past while adding something unique to every project. The excitement of blending traditional craftsmanship with new ideas keeps me motivated, and I love the challenge of crafting something that will stand the test of time. My work is all about taking inspiration from the greats—like Frank Lloyd Wright and Mackintosh—while adding my own touch to create pieces that will become a part of history, too. At Wabashiki Woodworks, I take pride in creating lasting works of art that tell their own story and will be cherished for generations to come.
